HOW TO HANG YOUR ART PRINTS:
The Secrets To Attractive Art Print Display
Properly hung artwork makes any room look more visually attractive. But how do you hang art so that it looks good?
Here are some points for you to consider before hanging your art prints.
Always hang your art prints at the eye-level of the 'average' person
Avoid hanging a small print on a huge wall - it will get lost! Instead, hang smaller prints in small spaces such as hallways.
When hanging more than one art print on the same wall, select frame and matting styles that are compatible and that look good together.
Large prints are designed to be the focal point in any room. Hang these on large walls. Larger prints look best when centred over sofas or other pieces of furniture.
Ensure that you use the appropriate hooks to hang your prints. The hooks chosen should be able to hold the weight of the framed art print. Hooks can be purchased from your local hardware store. If you're unsure about which hooks you require ask at your hardware store.
If your artwork is larger than a 16"x20" we recommend that you use two hooks to hang the piece as this will help keep the art print balanced and will distribute the weight evenly on your wall.
Before hanging your print measure it to find its center and make a mark on the wall where you will be placing the picture hook. This will ensure that the art print ends up where you want it to!
